Treasurer - responsibilities

Receiving and Depositing Funds

The Treasurer receives money from the Financial Secretary and issues a receipt, then deposits the funds into the council's accounts.

Paying Expenses

The Treasurer is responsible for paying all council expenses, ensuring that payments are made according to council orders and approved by the Financial Secretary and Grand Knight. 

Maintaining Records

The Treasurer keeps accurate records of all council funds, including the general expense fund and any special funds, and provides up-to-date records to the Grand Knight, Financial Secretary,or Board of Trustees.

Working with Other Officers

The Treasurer works closely with the Financial Secretary and Grand Knight to ensure the council's financial health and compliance with the Knights of Columbus's financial procedures.

Admission Committee

It's recommended that the Chancellor serve as the chairman of the Council's Admission Committee. 

Engaging and Retaining Members

The Chancellor should set up events that display the values and principles of the Knights of Columbus to recruit and retain members. 

Working with Other Officers

The Treasurer works closely with the Financial Secretary and Grand Knight to ensure the council's financial health and compliance with the Knights of Columbus's financial procedures.
