Chancellor - Roles and Responsibilities
Assisting Leadership
The Chancellor supports the Grand Knight and Deputy Grand Knight in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.
Taking Charge
In the absence of both the Grand Knight and Deputy Grand Knight, the Chancellor assumes leadership of the Council.
Strengthening Membership
The Chancellor plays a key role in engaging and strengthening members' interest in the Council's activities.
Member Outreach
Exercising a special interest in new members and members who are sick or in distress.
Admission Committee
It's recommended that the Chancellor serve as the chairman of the Council's Admission Committee.
Engaging and Retaining Members
The Chancellor should set up events that display the values and principles of the Knights of Columbus to recruit and retain members.
Participate in Council Activities
The Chancellor should participate in the council's degree team and should serve on both the Admission and Retention committees.
