GRAND KNIGHT

The Grand Knight, also known as the Knights of Columbus Home President, is the highest-ranking elected officer of their council, responsible for leading the council, enforcing its laws, and ensuring its operations are in accordance with the order's directives.

The Deputy Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus is the second-ranking officer, serving as the Grand Knight's right-hand person, assisting with council affairs and presiding in their absence. 

As the third-highest ranking officer in a Knights of Columbus Council, the Chancellor's primary responsibilities include assisting the Grand Knight and Deputy Grand Knight, strengthening members' interests in council activities, and taking charge during the incapacity or extended absence of both. 

In a Knights of Columbus (KofC) council, the Warden (often referred to as the "building manager" in practice) is responsible for supervising and maintaining council property, preparing the council chambers for meetings, and overseeing inside and outside guards. 

In the Knights of Columbus, the Treasurer is an elected officer responsible for managing and safeguarding the council's funds, including receiving money, depositing it, paying expenses, and maintaining accurate financial records. 

In the Knights of Columbus, the Advocate is the council's chief legal officer, acting as a parliamentarian and legal representative, ensuring adherence to the council's bylaws and the Order's constitution. 

In the Knights of Columbus, the Recorder is a council officer responsible for maintaining accurate records of all council actions and correspondence, similar to a court reporter or secretary, and uses a Recorder's Minute Book to record council meeting minutes. 

The Financial Secretary of the Knights of Columbus is appointed by the Supreme Knight, upon recommendation of the council, and is responsible for maintaining all financial and membership records, collecting dues, and submitting reports to the Supreme Council. 

In the Knights of Columbus, the Inside Guard is a council officer responsible for security at meetings, assisting the Warden, and ensuring members have current membership cards for entry. 

In the context of the Knights of Columbus, the Outside Guard is a council officer responsible for ensuring only members with current membership cards are allowed into meetings, acting as a security presence at the outer door. 

In the Knights of Columbus, the Lecturer is appointed by the Grand Knight to provide educational and entertaining programs for the council, focusing on the "Good of the Order" and promoting the Knights' values and activities. 

In the Knights of Columbus, the Trustee, along with the Grand Knight, form the Board of Trustees, overseeing the council's financial matters, conducting semiannual audits, and advising the Grand Knight.
